To wish to know you better as we all walked across the black sand beach the gentle mile to breakfast.
To be curious about what you were feeling as we all bathed in the silent glow of the Milky Way late that same day.
To all marvel at the luminescent click beetles.
To wonder how many other ways we all were the same.
To be blindfolded when you guided us through the garden, your voice kind as you invited us to use our other senses to experience the garden, the smells, the sounds, the textures, and I understand only now that you wished for me to be open and trusting and to connect to the world more deeply and in new ways.
I will miss you until the end of my days.
