The Archtop is Finished
Done, done, done. Three years of building and a dream decades long. I have built my own archtop. It sounds warm, woody, rich - just like a jazz guitar should. The action is low and the neck feels fine. Over the top happy about this.

The Binding is Revealed
Well, more poor technique. I scraped the binding, but the finish has set up too much and there is some rough edges. I decided not to start over and just forge on. I want this instrument to get done. It's for playing not for hanging on the wall. So here it is with some clear satin over the burst and amber on the very white binding to give it an aged look.

Shooting the Sunburst
Well, I finally got this part right. After sanding off a couple of horrible attempts at shooting some color onto the Archtop, I came home a little early and did this. The clear coats are next after I scrape the color off of the bindings. That is going to look really cool.
